KWF Food Industries Sdn Bhd (382680-T), wholly owned by KWF Enterprise Sdn Bhd (187217-V), an associate of Kong Wooi Fong Tea Merchants Sdn Bhd (75265-H), was formed in 2005, upon acquiring a 9-year-old tea trader and supplier Ten Lan Jee Sdn Bhd, to build a strategically tea packaging and manufacturing company with capability on OEM, Wholesale and Retail aspects, covering various local market segments. As part of its marketing and business positioning strategy, KWF Food Industries Sdn Bhd engaged on a One-Stop operation mode comprised of importing, developing, manufacturing, packaging, custom manufacturing, wholesale and distributing.
Today, KWF Food Industries Sdn Bhd has become one of the leading tea suppliers in Malaysia and a Malaysia Tea Company with a range of HALAL and MESTI certified tea products. Its corporate brand – MONTEA hit the market in December 2006, offering a wide range of teas, categorized in range of Classic, Daily, Gold, Signature and Premium, embracing the belief in best price-performance ratio, and strictly adhere to “free of colour additive and flavouring agents” orientation.
Its house brand, MONTEH was launched in October 2019, debuted as the Sponsor of “Piala TTAM – Battle of Teh Tarik” organized by the Malaysia Tea Association, in conjunction with Invest Selangor Expo held in MITEC, Kuala Lumpur. MONTEH is attentively blended to serve the fans of TEH TARIK as well as the kaleidoscope of black tea drinking styles enjoy by all Malaysian, from Mamak Stall, Warung, Kopitiam, Café, Hotel, Food Court, Canteen, Food Van, Hawker, Peddler, etc, and nonetheless, at Home.
